Students commemorate the ANZACs

We should be very proud of the empathy and respect demonstrated by our wonderful students during the Annual ANZAC Commemoration on Wednesday.

Congratulations to Constance, Regina and Hayden for hosting a moving and respectful commemoration. Our class wreath bearers were amazing and it was wonderful to hear the address from Mr Barry Payne (Vietnam Veteran) on behalf of the Greenbank Returned Services League.

A special thanks to our invited guests and to the many families that joined us also. The morning tea was again a great success, we thank you for the contribution to these, as you can see by the photo, many hours must have goon into the preparation of these ANZAC cakes.

Four of our leaders layed a wreath on behalf of the school at the Springfield Community Dawn Service. Our thanks to the parents of Sheridan, Hayden, Constance and Ella for supporting the school and bringing your children to Dawn Service. They did us proud.

It was amazing to see so many of our students with their parents at the Springfield Dawn Service.

At SCSS we will continue to work hard to ensure the legend of the ANZAC lives on.
