Last night at our Term 4 school disco, one of our year 6 students hurt her knee whilst dancing resulting in an ambulance being called. The ambulance officers were able to help Sophie with her dislocated knee on site and then took her to hospital for some further care. We are very pleased to share that Sophie's knee is back in place and she hasn't sustained any additional damage. We applaud Sophie for being such a brave little legend and dearly thank the many people who helped out last night. A special thanks to Debbie Johnson for stepping in and supporting with her nursing experience and knowledge and to the mums and dads that helped create the chair barricade.
A special mention also to our school staff for their professional approach in action and to our amazing students who showed so much care and compassion toward Sophie.
Best wishes to Sophie from the staff, students and community of Springfield Central. We are very proud of her and looking forward to having her back at school.
