Springfield Central State School was very proud to host an ANZAC Commemorative Service this year. Our two school leaders Gabrielle and Claudia were sensational hosts. It was wonderful to have the many special and invited guests. Our school acknowledges the support from our Federal Member Mr Shayne Newmann, our State Member for Bundamba, Mrs Jo Ann Miller, Councillor Sheila Ireland, Senior Sergeant Geoff Noller and Constable Tim Walker, Jayne Liddiard and Kathy Stevens from Delfin and Mr Terry Kearney representing Springfield Land Corporation. A special thanks to pastor Phil Cutcliff who played the Last Post and Rouse for us. We were very moved to have a live performance. It was wonderful also, to have Mrs Aileen Dickson and her family join us to hear the special tribute to her husband 'Bob' who was a true Aussie Digger.
Special guests and our class representatives laid wreaths as a sign of our respect and remembrance.
The students and guests enjoyed an amazing 'Aussie' morning tea. Special mention of thanks to the time and effort that mums and dads contributed to making out morning tea really 'Aussie' and a huge success.
Overall it was a wonderful service and our students were (as always) wonderful representatives of our school.
