Springfield Central State School, we recognise the vital role that nightly home
reading plays in supporting our students towards becoming highly literate
citizens. To promote consistent daily
effort throughout the school year, Springfield Central State School will
acknowledge students who reach the milestone of 100 nights of home reading by awarding them with a special bookmark and a place on our new Home Reading Wall of Fame. The Wall of Fame will be located in the
entrance to the RLH and feature the names and faces of our reading superstars.

Competition. The theme for this year’s
design is Reading Rocks! The template on
which to create a bookmark design is half an A4 page folded lengthways to
create a long rectangle. Students
may use any medium to create their design including digital presentation, photography,
collage, pencil or pen. Designs should include
images only (no text) and relate to the theme Reading Rocks! Designs should be eye-catching and carefully rendered. The winning design will become our 100 Nights of Home Reading Award.
