Bookmark Design Competition

At Springfield Central State School, we recognise the vital role that nightly home reading plays in supporting our students towards becoming highly literate citizens.  To promote consistent daily effort throughout the school year, Springfield Central State School will acknowledge students who reach the milestone of 100 nights of home reading by awarding them with a special bookmark and a place on our new Home Reading Wall of Fame.  The Wall of Fame will be located in the entrance to the RLH and feature the names and faces of our reading superstars.

In preparation, we are holding our first Bookmark Design Competition.  The theme for this year’s design is Reading Rocks!  The template on which to create a bookmark design is half an A4 page folded lengthways to create a long rectangle. Students may use any medium to create their design including digital presentation, photography, collage, pencil or pen.  Designs should include images only (no text) and relate to the theme Reading Rocks!  Designs should be eye-catching and carefully rendered.  The winning design will become our 100 Nights of Home Reading Award.

Designs must be submitted to teachers by the end of the school day on Friday, 26 April, 2013.
